The hike to Observation Point offers one of the best views of Zion National Park. The trail from the valley floor has been closed for years, but it can still be accessed via the East Mesa Trailhead, located just outside the park's boundaries. However, the road to the trailhead is often impassable due to weather, and parking is very limited. I recommend starting your hike at least two hours before sunrise to secure a parking spot and take advantage of the best photo opportunities. Photo © copyright by Craig Goodwin.
